Changing Your Password
Periodically changing your password keeps your account secure. Here's how to update it.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access Password Settings
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right of the header
- Select Profile from the dropdown
- Scroll down to the Password section
Step 2: Enter Your Current Password
- In the Current Password field, type your existing password
- This confirms you have the authority to change it

You must know your current password to change it. If you've forgotten it, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page instead.
Step 3: Enter Your New Password
- In the New Password field, create a strong password
- In the Confirm Password field, type it again to make sure it matches
Step 4: Review Password Requirements
Your new password must:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Contain at least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- Contain at least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- Contain at least one number (0-9)
- Contain at least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
Passwords should not:
- Be the same as your previous password
- Contain your email address or username
- Be a common word or simple pattern
Step 5: Save Your New Password
- Click Update Password
- A confirmation message appears
- You're now using your new password
You'll need to log in again on your next session with the new password.
Tips for a Secure Password
- Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols
- Make it unique (don't reuse passwords from other accounts)
- Don't share your password with anyone
- Use a password manager to store complex passwords securely

Change your password every 60-90 days for best security, especially if you suspect it may have been compromised.

Password changes take effect immediately. If you're already logged in, you'll remain logged in. On your next login after closing your browser, use the new password.
