Making Calls
Sellify GPT has an integrated softphone that lets you make calls directly from the app—no need to switch to another phone system.
Click-to-Call from Contacts
The easiest way to make a call:
- Open a contact's profile
- Click the Call button
- The dialer will dial the contact's phone number automatically
- Your softphone will ring—answer to connect
You'll hear the dial tone and can start the conversation.
Dialer Page
Alternatively, click Dialer in the sidebar to access the full dialer interface where you can:
- See your available phone numbers
- Dial manually by entering a number
- Access the power dialer for batch calling
- View your call history and stats
The Softphone Component
When you're on a call, a softphone panel appears with these controls:
- Mute Button: Click to mute your microphone
- Keypad: Open the numeric keypad to enter extensions or menu options
- Hold: Put the call on hold
- Transfer: Transfer the call to another number
- End Call: Click to hang up
The softphone shows the contact's name and phone number at the top.
Call Controls
During a call, you can:
- Mute: Silence your microphone without disconnecting
- Use Keypad: Press numbers (useful for IVR systems)
- Take Notes: Type notes while on the call—they'll be saved to the contact's timeline
Call Timer
A timer at the top shows how long you've been on the call. This helps track call duration for billing or performance metrics.
Use the keypad to navigate phone menus or enter extensions without hanging up.
All calls are recorded automatically (with legal compliance for your jurisdiction). Recordings are saved to the contact's activity timeline.
