SMS Inbox
The SMS section is your hub for text message communication with contacts. Organize conversations and respond quickly.
Thread List and Conversation View
Click SMS in the sidebar to open your SMS inbox. You'll see:
- Thread List (left side): A list of conversations organized by contact
- Conversation View (right side): The full message thread with the selected contact
The thread list shows:
- Contact name
- Preview of the last message
- Date of the last message
- Unread indicator (blue dot for new messages)
Click any thread to open the full conversation.
Reading Messages
In the conversation view, you'll see the complete back-and-forth:
- Your messages appear on the right (usually blue)
- Contact messages appear on the left (usually gray)
- Timestamps show when each message was sent
- Delivery status indicates if a message was delivered
Conversation Details
At the top of the conversation, you'll see:
- Contact name
- Contact phone number
- Last activity date
- Link to the contact's full profile
Click the contact name to jump to their profile and see their complete history.
Searching Messages
Use the search bar to find:
- Conversations by contact name
- Messages containing specific words or phrases
This helps you quickly locate previous conversations or information discussed.
Keep your SMS inbox organized by archiving conversations you're done with. You can always search for them later.
SMS threads are linked to contact records. Every message you send or receive is logged in the contact's activity timeline.
