SMS Templates

SMS templates let you save time by reusing common messages. You can create templates for follow-ups, check-ins, objection handling, and more.

Using Templates

To insert a template while composing a message:

  1. In the message compose field, type # followed by the template name
  2. A dropdown shows matching templates
  3. Click to insert the template text
  4. Edit the message if needed
  5. Click Send

The template text inserts with your customizations (see below).

Merge Fields

Templates can include dynamic fields that automatically fill in contact information:

  • ContactName: The contact's first name
  • CompanyName: The contact's company
  • DealAmount: The value of an associated deal
  • DealName: The name of an associated deal
  • YourName: Your name

For example, a template might read:

"Hi ContactName, following up on our discussion about DealName. Are you still interested?"

When you send it to a contact, it becomes:

"Hi John, following up on our discussion about Website Redesign. Are you still interested?"

Creating Templates (Admin Only)

If you have admin access, you can create templates for your team:

  1. Click Admin in the sidebar
  2. Select SMS Templates
  3. Click + Create Template
  4. Enter:
    • Template name (what appears after #)
    • Template text (include merge fields with FieldName)
    • Category (for organization)
  5. Click Save

The template is now available to all team members.

tip

Create templates for your most common messages: follow-ups, objection handling, rescheduling, and closing asks.

info

Merge fields make templates personal without extra typing. Each message feels customized even though you're using a template.
