Pipeline Settings
Pipeline Settings (Admin only) let you customize the stages of your sales process to match your business model.
Viewing Pipeline Stages
Your current pipeline stages appear in the Deals Kanban board. To see and manage them:
- Click Admin in the sidebar
- Select Pipeline Settings
- You'll see a list of all your current stages
Default stages include: Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won, Closed Lost. You can customize these.
Understanding Your Pipeline
Each stage represents a step in your sales process:
- Lead: New prospect, initial contact made
- Qualified: Determined they're a fit, showed interest
- Proposal: Sent pricing or proposal
- Negotiation: Working on terms and pricing
- Closed Won: Deal completed, customer acquired
- Closed Lost: Didn't close, no longer pursuing
These may differ based on your sales methodology (MEDDIC, Sandler, etc.).
Customizing Stages
To add a new stage:
- Click + Add Stage
- Enter a stage name (e.g., "Discovery," "Qualified," "Demo")
- Set the stage type:
- Open (active deals)
- Closed Won (completed successfully)
- Closed Lost (did not convert)
- Click Save
To rename a stage:
- Click the stage name
- Edit the text
- Click Save
To delete a stage:
- Click the X next to the stage
- Confirm deletion
- Open deals in that stage will be moved to another stage
Stage Order
Drag stages to reorder them left-to-right on your Kanban board. The order should reflect your sales process flow.
Customize your pipeline to match your actual sales process. This makes the Kanban board more useful for your team.
Changes to your pipeline take effect immediately for all users. Make sure your team understands what each stage means.
